Destination: Forests for the World

An easy slower paced hike, with a little spice, starting from the Forests for the World parking lot on Kueng Road. We will start with a steepish hill then Who’s Home, Southern Interpretive loop, Lost & Found, to Shane Lake. Sturdy footwear is required. Distance is 7 km, approx. 2.5 hours on up and down terrain. Participants should bring a day backpack, sufficient water, snacks and/or lunch, extra clothing and possibly gaiters and hiking poles. Please meet at the scheduled departure time of 8:45 a.m. in the parking lot at the Forest for the World on Kueng Road. Max. 15 participants, with members receiving priority, email or text to pre-register by Thurs. July 30.
