Destination: Fraser River

An easy‑moderate, out‑and‑back hike along the Fraser River, lasting about 3 to 4 hours. Starting from Van Bien School, the route leads through the cemetery to the river, then follows the shoreline. Sturdy footwear is recommended for the rocky sections along the Fraser. Participants should bring a day backpack, sufficient water or perhaps something else to drink, lunch and snacks, extra clothing and rain gear, insect repellent, gaiters and perhaps sunscreen, hiking poles and bear spray. Please meet 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time of 10 a.m. at the Van Bien School parking lot, 311 Wilson Ave.
