Greer Creek Falls is an easy hike that leads to a beautiful 8m waterfall Southeast of Vanderhoof BC. It is an easy, short hike that you can enjoy all year round.
Greer Falls is named after the Greer family, early settlers and ranchers in the region. The falls were originally accessed by trappers and horse-pack routes, later mapped by forestry survey crews. The trail became more formally established in the 1980s when local hiking clubs began advocating for recreational access to natural features beyond major lakes and viewpoints.
The falls themselves drop roughly 8 metres through a narrow chute carved into volcanic bedrock, part of the ancient geological formations that define much of the surrounding landscape.
Trail is usually well maintained.
From Prince George head West on Highway 16 to Vanderhoof. Once in Vanderhoof turn left onto Kenney Dam Road heading west, follow this paved road past the Sai'kuz First Nation Village. The road will transition to a gravel road and you'll come to the intersection of the Kenny Dam, Kluskus and Telegraph Forest Services Roads. Turn left onto the Kluskus FSR and follow it to kilometre marker 37.5 where there will be a large gravel parking lot to the right. Park there and follow the trail to the waterfall.
