Tacheeda Lookout
HAZARD NOTICE: Access roads to the Tacheeda Lookout trail, the Tacheeda Lakes and beyond (the 700, 800 and 2000 forest service roads, or Redrocky Road and Colbourne Road) will be extremely busy with industrial traffic this summer, fall and winter, largely due to pipeline construction, ongoing logging operations and ongoing railway operations. Recreation Sites and Trails BC is advising anyone travelling these roads should be equipped with and know how to use two-way radios.
Pope Mountain
Located near Fort St. James, this popular and well used trail leads to a gazebo at the top of Pope Mountain. On a clear day, one can get good views of Stuart Lake to the south and Pinchi and Tezzzeron Lakes to the northwest. There are great view points along the trail where you can stop and have a snack.
